DIRECTIONAL BORING & THE VAC-N-DIG/SYSTEM 3 [Page Up] Directional boring is a trenchless technology that has grown dramatically in importance and popularity as boring equipment continues to improve and as utilities and contractors become familiar with the tremendous advantages it offers compared with open trench methods. TheVAC-N-DIG System 3 plays an important dual role in directional boring by enabling operators to POT HOLE to verify the exact location of utilities intersecting the bore path and also to REMOVE BENTONITE MUD SLURRY from the boring site. The System 3 will dig a 5' deep by 1'x1' hole in an average time of just 7-8 minutes in all soil conditions.
